I started my dog trainer journey while being a member of an active kennel club with three very active, intelligent dogs. I trained and trialed my three dogs in obedience, agility, nose work and hunt. After participating in several seminars and working under the tutorage of a trainer, who developed a new method of positive reinforcement training that focuses on engagement and impulse control, I was certified with her and continued using her method "The Third Way". However, learning new methods of training, and relating to dogs is a continuing passion of mine.

I always strive to find new solutions to make the dog - human relationship more compatible. Volunteering for several rescue groups, working as a vet assistant and managing both large and small play groups has taught me a lot about dog behavior. Even though, I continue to learn how to work with our furry friends, my main concern is training people to live happily with their dogs and understanding how to get the behaviors that they desire.
